I just ran into this article on the subject of India becoming
the next major ally of the USA, defender of democracy
as well as a bullwark against radical Islam.

Although the author seems skeptical I personally believe that
there is indeed tremendous potential for India and the USA
to cooperate at a much greater level.

I've always loved Iwo Jima. Even if it is contrived, the sculpture has energy and depicts both valor and allegiance. It is also the largest bronze statue in the world.
