ET,
Substance in this venue means an evaluation of the number of people who use the house during peak hours, the square footage, and sources of heating and cooling. Also major appliance info is useful, but not as major as the climate control. Based on published reports, most significant facts have surfaced relative to the above paragraph, and have been repeated in this topic. If quantitative facts were not available, as in the case with physical presence, then at least qualitative data was available, such as the revelation that business is conducted from the house, including staffers being present. It was further pointed out the nature of red herring political tactics that those with a weak case utilize to fool the masses, including, obviously, you. As far as the pot calling the kettle black - or, should I say, perported kettle - your post had zero facts. Indeed, it reminded me of the child who points a finger and sticks his tongue out. I am no fan of Al Gore, but I harbor no patience for shallow thinking. Jeff |

Substance?
I'll give it a try. Al Gore's energy consumption means little compared to how much of a reduction we would have to bear in order to effect a 0.07 Celcius drop in GW by 2050, as invisioned by Kyoto. AG's attention would be more effectively spent on global poverty or AIDS research. |

ET,
I see no problem in significant reduction of unnatural GW vis-a-vis new power generating technologies, the resurrection of nuclear technology, carbon sequestration, and other vehicles. In fact, that is what I do for a living. Try again. Jeff |

"What's your source?"
Sengupta never did answer that, did he? Shouldn't he set a better example? |

You can google it and find it all over the legitimate press.
Downpuppy - I said the ATTACKERS (of Gore) are showing their ignorance of energy issues. Jeff |

Ignorance? Maybe. They have a long history of not really caring about the accuracy of their attacks, don't they?
I just thought it might be time to bring in a different perspective on Gore's notions that's based in acceptance of physical limitations, not indifference to them.

ET,
I don't think that AG is a hypocrite. I do think that his understanding of some of the technologies that he talks about is not high. Jeff |
