I would argue that the most important battle for the U.S. was the battle of Saratoga in 1777. We were always taught in school that this was the turning point of the American Revolution because it convinced France to help in a major way. Without the French assistance the revolution would have failed.

As to Gettysburg,the Confederacy was already passed its peak and on a downward slope when the battle occurred. Even if Lee had won the South still would have lost the war. The CSS Virginia/Merrimac battle was interesting but ironclads were already in use elsewhere at the time.

As to Midway,the very existence of the U.S. as a country was never an issue. In the Revolution it was THE issue.
