This is the first time I've ever heard this. Are you sure this is correct? Yep, it's true. When I questioned it a few years ago, I was told that poor people don't have a chance to go out, so now they are able to go out to McDonalds and pay with foodstamps.

No frills, no stamps, no cheating. That would solve the food problem and abuse of the current system while encouraging those who want more to do something about improving their own lives. Oh no.....you tight @#%$, stingey SOB's At least you are not getting any personal attacks in while delivering your sermons. Whatever happened to family values? Taking care of your own? Feeding the mouths you bring into this world with your own work instead of that of others? But I have been there trying to raise 4 children and go to college (nope, never got a single student loan). That is the right idea. If it was good enough for you, then why not others?

I also know that hard work is what gets people out of bad times. Visit the projects in Chicago or most any other major city. See how many generations of the same families still live in them. And for those parents who aren't willing to do that, sterilize them. There is no poverty in America. If there was, thousands would be dead and dying from starvation.

I'm with Booger on this. No child in our country should have to go to bed hungry. Period. But McDonald's on Uncle Sam??? Come on! If hard working Americans - who make just over what it would take to receive foodstamps - do not have enough money to take their kids to McDonald's - why in the WORLD should our tax dollars go to fast food for the non-working??? Even with a decent salary - many parents still deny their kids fast food - because of the price. I am still finding this difficult to believe.

I usually see them on suppermarkets to indicate that they accept foodstamps. So, I asked a local politician who confirmed that yes, McDonalds accepts foodstamps because they want poor people to have a chance to go out.
