Sure! But what right have you to ask materials and services from others if you're not willing to provide some material or service in return?I have the right not to be a servant and I have the right not to want a servant either.
You can absolutely run on up into the hills and live the life of a hunter-gatherer. Be your own man! You don't need anything from anyone, after all!
But...if you want to lead the sort of lifestyle that has things like...well...provided food, safety, shelter, entertainment, etc etc, then, well, you'll have to learn to provide something worthwhile in return.
This transaction yields the barter system, which is more primitive and quite inferior to currency.
Sanarchus, I really must respect your idealism, but you seem to assume that people are just misunderstood angels, waiting for their chance to link hands and sing songs in some sort of hippy revolution. I'm very sorry, but that just isn't the case.
