I had some excellent history teachers in HS who I did not appreciate, and also some excellent history teachers in religious school as a youth.

I never had any formal history training after that. As an undergraduate engineering major, I used up all my "general studies" electives taking drama and literature. In engineering graduate school, of course, I took only math and engineering courses.

All these years later, I am in school again, but taking more engineering and this time business courses.
